Named after the Great Ruaha River, which flows along its southeastern margin, Ruaha National Park sits at 20,226 km2, making it the second biggest national park in Tanzania. Known for its wildlife viewing, the park is home to the Big 5, giraffe, zebra, and antelope such as greater and lesser kudu, sable, and roan which are found in no other national parks in Tanzania. More than 540 bird species have also been recorded here, making it a birders' paradise. Overall, an outstanding wildlife destination.
