Tambuti Lodge has the only authentic African restaurant north of Etosha. Specializing in local traditional “African cuisine” and drinks sourcing local ingredients from the east and west of the Kavango region were possible, thus reducing food miles and letting the tourist emerge in the traditional food scenery. Cultural experience Experience the rich culture of the region at the Mbunza Living Museums only 15km from the lodge. These living museum helps to sustain the livelihoods of local people while acting as a traditional school that preserves local culture and traditions
Our Family Rooms are all equipped with bathtub and shower, television, refrigerator, kettle for tea, air-conditioner, a fan, chair and table, telephone, toilet, queen size bed, single bed, additional bed on request, bed lamp, and mosquito nets. Our Family Rooms can accommodate 3-4 people.
These are rooms numbered 1 which has a River view and 5,6,7 and 8 which are Garden View rooms. The rooms have a Veranda outside to sit and look at the garden, different birds and butterflies in the garden as well as some of the fruit trees. These trees include Mango fruits, lemon fruits, Grape fruit, Orange fruits, Peach fruit, Avocado, Bananas, Passion fruits/ Granadilla and Paw-Paw just to mention a few.
Our Double Rooms are all equipped with a queen size bed, bed lamp shower only, toilet, television, refrigerator, air-conditioner, a fan, kettle for tea, chair and table, telephone, also has an outside veranda for relaxing.
These are rooms numbered 2,3 and 4 and all have River Views, the rooms have a view of the Kavango
River and overlooking Angola country. The rooms each have a Veranda outside where guests can sit and look at the surrounding garden and indigenous trees of the Kavango Region.

Sun Set Cruises can be organised in advance in partnership with the Samsitu Camp 15 km outside Rundu located directly in the Kavango floodplain. N$ 180.00 per person, per hours, drinks can be purchased at cheap cost prices on the boat. Departure is at 16.00.
Kayaks are available for self-exploring the floodplain at an affordable rental cost of N$ 150.00 per person.
Buy authentic, hand-made craft from local crafters. The region is renowned for its unique style of basket weaving found nowhere else in Southern Africa.
Tambuti is encouraging self drive tours to the nearby Living Museum which can be combined with the sun-set cruise or on its own.

We have a small restaurant specialising in local traditional African cuisine and drinks sourcing local ingredients. This gives the lodge guests the opportunity to explore local flavours, add value to local products, and support the local communities providing the ingredients while considerably reducing the food miles.
Tambuti Lodge encourages its clients to taste the local flavours starting from starter, main course and deserts. Taste our traditional breakfast too.
