Viking Cave is located at the bottom of a tall limestone cliff close to the entrance to the Pileh Lagoon on Ko Phi Phi Le Island on the Phi Phi archipelago. The cave was named so by the locals for the paintings of boats, some of which resemble Viking ships, on the walls of the cave. The paintings are not very old but it is not known when, or by whom the paintings were made. The cave can only be accessed by boat and visitors need to climb up some rough bamboo scaffolding to reach the mouth of the cave.
