Situated in Reykjavík, the Hallgrímskirkja is a national monument, and one of the tallest structures in Iceland, as well as the largest church. The church was named after the author of the Passion Hymns, Hallgrimur Petursson, who was an Icelandic poet and clergyman. The church tower provides a 360-degree view all over Reykjavík as well as the oceans and the mountains around the city and is a popular destination for tourists.
