Located within the southern region of Shan State, Shwe Yan Pyay is a beautiful monastery. The monastery is over 150 years old and reflects Burmese architecture which possesses sophisticatedly carved structures and gold teak wood with a ceiling decorated with gorgeous carvings and gold leaves. One of the most extraordinary parts to the monastery are large oval windows and a Buddha statue which form a part of the Ordination Hall. While visiting the monastery, guests can interact with the monks who reside there, as well as visit the shrine of Buddhas.
