Located within the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park 21km to the south of the town of Margaret River, the Mammoth Cave offers a great exploring experience that allows visitors to view the caves at their own pace with commentary and directions provided by an MP3 player and headset. The first chamber of the cave can be accessed with a wheelchair.

The cave features a wide variety of formations and is one of only a few caves in the southwest that contains fossils. One such fossil is the jawbone of the extinct Zygomaturus (a large animal similar to a hippopotamus) which can be seen in the wall of the first chamber. The experience ends with a short bushwalk that leads through the forest to the car park.
