Livingstone Island is situated in the middle of the Zambezi River, approximately 6 minutes boat trip from the Royal Livingstone Hotel. The Island is only accessible in certain months of the year when the water levels are lower (usually between July - March).

Only 16 guests are permitted to visit the Island at a time. There are 5 visits per day, three in the morning, one at lunch time and one afternoon visit.

Guests will be collected from the Royal Livingstone Hotel deck for their activity. A speedboat will take them across the River to the Livingstone Island. In very low water (usually between August and January), there is an opportunity to swim in a natural rock pool at the edge of the Falls. A light breakfast will be served on all morning visits, lunch will be served on the lunch visits and drinks and snacks will be served on the afternoon visit.

The visit to the Island lasts approximately 1.5 hours including the boat transfers to and from Royal Livingstone.
