The Raft is stationary and anchored in the main stream of the Chobe River. It has a seating capacity of 64. It is registered in both Namibia and Botswana. However, there is no need to go through immigration formalities to board The Raft. The Kasane Communique allows for both Namibia and Botswana to have equal rights to the River. As the Raft is not docked on any land, but anchored in the main stream there is thus no need to clear immigration.

To get to the Raft one needs to take a 5-minute boat ride from Kasane to where the Raft is anchored. The Location of the Raft is in the Chobe main stream opposite Sedudu Island, the same island where you’ll find Elephants, Buffalo and other large Mammals grazing on the ever lush green grass. If you are travelling from Victoria Falls to the Raft, the drive would probably take more or less an hour and a half depending on immigration formalities.

2 hours is allowed for the whole experience, there is no need to rush through the meal. The Traditional Braai is simple yet delicious; with each person’s steak cooked to their liking. Lunch includes a traditional “braai “style menu of 3 meats, 2 salads and a warm dish with Garlic bread and a dessert.

The package also includes 2 Drinks per person (there is no cash bar). Drinks include a choice of local beer, house wine, soft drinks and water.
