Maak van dichtbij kennis met de reuzen van de oceaan wanneer ze langs de kust van de Garden Route naar de warme wateren van Mozambique zwemmen om er te paren en te kalven.
We varen via de Knysna Lagoon en de iconische Knysna Heads naar de uitgestrekte Indische Oceaan. Hier gaan we op zoek naar walvissen, bultruggen en zuidkapers. Juni tot en met november zijn de beste maanden om deze vriendelijke dieren te spotten.
Het benaderen van een walvis vereist vaardigheid en kennis van het gedrag van deze bijzondere wezens. Ocean Odyssey is de organisatie die de dieren tot op 50 meter mag naderen!
De tocht duurt ongeveer 1,5 tot 2 uur en wordt geleid door een ervaren schipper onder begeleiding van een walvisspotter.
