Old City is an ancient city located in Baku, Azerbaijan. It is the most ancient area of Baku and it’s the first site in Azerbaijan to have become a World Heritage Site. The city is surrounded by walls and towers, and its home to monuments such as the Maiden Tower, the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, the Multani Caravanserai, and the Hajji Gayyib bathhouse.

Apart from the Azerbaijani element, the city also displays evidence of Sassanian, Arabic, Zoroastrian, Persian, Shirvani, Ottoman and Russian influences. Visitors can explore the city, admire the beautiful ancient architecture, and visit the many points of interest found within the surrounding walls.
