Congonhas has also been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, especially for Aleijadinho’s work at the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Matosinhos. Aleijadinho not only carved the Twelve Prophets in soapstone, but also carved in cedar the images of the Stations of the Cross (Via Crucis) that are distributed in six chapels.

São João Del Rei is a typical city in Minas Gerais, where it is possible to find innumerous examples of colonial architecture in its churches and baroque style houses. Through its characters, the city played an important role in decisive moments of both Minas Gerais and the Nation politics. Tancredo Neves, who established the new republic and was responsible for the return of the democracy in Brazil, was born there.

Tiradentes is one of the most beautiful cities in Minas Gerais because of its baroque style buildings and also for protecting and preserving the origins of its historical center. The city was named after Joaquim José da Silva Xavier, known as Tiradentes and that’s why it is considered the cradle of the Inconfidência Mineira movement. The city holds many events throughout the year, such as Film Festivals, Gastronomic Festivals and the Harley Davidson Motorcycle National Meeting. It is also possible to find high-quality handcraft works made of wood and iron.
