Located in Zambia’s Kafue National Park, Busanga Plains is a vast mosaic of grassy seasonal floodplains. The plains are situated on an ancient lake bed which undergoes regular flooding during Zambia’s rainy season. During dry spells, the area is reminiscent of the savannah. With its abundance of puku, wildebeest, oribi, bushbuck, red lechwe, sable and roan antelope, Busanga Plains is one of Zambia’s prime game-viewing locations. Visitors to this secluded area can also enjoy viewing lions, cheetahs, elephants and buffalo.
