Shinde is located on a lush palm island in the northern Okavango Delta in Botswana, on the edge of the Shinde Lagoon. Nearby, the private concession offers a mix of permanent waterways and dry areas that support diverse wildlife, birdlife, and species such as sitatunga and leopard. Guest tents feature a large bedroom, en-suite bathroom, indoor shower, outdoor shower, and ceiling fan. The camp features indoor and outdoor dining areas within its main “treehouse style” lodge overlooking the lagoon. Facilities include a swimming pool, lounge areas, and a range of land and water-based safari activities.
Rebuilt in 2020, retaining the authentic classic safari style, the new tents provide a luxury experience with a touch of historical charm. The décor can be described as having the best of nature within an authentic safari design - still with the understated, friendly and intimate KDB feeling. Each tent comprises of a large bedroom, en-suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower. There is the choice of either a double or twin bed configuration on comfortable three-quarter, extra length or king-sized beds.
Every possible comfort has been catered for – from full solar electricity, standing and ceiling fans through to yoga mats and hair dryers!
Families have the choice of being accommodated in a custom build two bedroom shared en-suite bathroom family tent sleeping a maximum of 5 people.
