Savuti is part of the Chobe National Park and is renowned for being a prime game viewing destination in Botswana. Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge has been designed and built to blend into the natural surrounding environment and to take full advantage of the spectacular 180 degree views. Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge is fully run on solar power, utilizing the available sun energy to generate enough renewable power to provide the lodge with all of its energy requirements and significantly reduce the site’s environmental impact. Each luxury tented room sleeps two people, offers en-suite facilities and breathtaking views of the African plains (Which can even be enjoyed from the shower). The luxury tented rooms have private viewing decks which can be used to enjoy the untouched wilderness. The lodge also has 2 luxury family-size tented rooms that sleep four and are suitable for two adults and two children. The luxury tented rooms are well appointed with no expense spared in the décor and wonderful linen ensuring a good night’s rest every night.

High Tea is served at 16:00 in our open-plan dining area, offering stunning views of the Savuti and the bustling activity around the waterhole below. Here, you'll meet your personal guide and fellow travelers while indulging in a selection of our home-baked cakes and treats. Your guide will take note of your preferred refreshments for the afternoon Sundowner drive, which departs around 16:30. This drive will traverse our private network of roads, with a maximum of six guests per vehicle to ensure a comfortable viewing experience.
During the drive, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy your chosen drinks at either our private hide overlooking the waterhole or at our special Baobab site, renowned for its magnificent sunset views. This unique landscape offers a paradise for photographers and nature enthusiasts alike.
In this area, you may encounter herds of elephants, buffalo, impala, kudu, giraffe, zebra, roan antelope, as well as spotted and brown hyenas. The Ghoha pride of lions and leopards are also among the possible sightings. Not to mention the numerous bird species and the spectacular Baobab trees that adorn the landscape.
You'll return to camp around 18:30 to freshen up before dinner. Your guide will meet you at a pre-arranged time at your room and accompany you to the main area for a pre-dinner drink around the bonfire in the Boma, where you can share stories with other guests. Dinner is served in the dining area starting at 19:30.
After enjoying an early continental breakfast at 06h30, guests will depart from the lodge around 07h00 and return in the late afternoon (depending on the guest’s needs and different sightings). The first stop and stretching point will be the Baobab Cathedral with some outstanding photographic opportunities. A professional guide will ensure that you are exposed to all the different landscapes and wildlife the area has to offer. A full day safari includes waterholes, marsh area, baobab stretching points, riversides and grasslands. Just to name a few: Harvey’s Pan, where so many animals roam daily, the Savuti Sand Ridge, the Kudu Hills, Quarry hill and rock climbing to get a close view of the Bushmen Rock Paintings, seeing the Pimple Hills as well as Twin Hills. Visiting the the Twelve Baobab theater on the way. At around midday there is a well presented picnic bush lunch along the river bank awaiting you. The drive will then continue further showcasing the wonders of the Savuti Marsh with its magnificent herds of Buffalo and Elephant, in addition to many other species of game and bird-life will be found. En-route back to Ghoha hills in the afternoon a late afternoon refreshment stop at the local pan or thatched viewing deck, may be the order of the day. Throughout the day, depending on nature, there will be sightings of Elephant, Lion, Giraffe, Leopard, Roan antelope, Kudu, Warthog, Buffalo, Impala, Waterbuck, Cheetah and a collection of bird species.
Guests enjoy an early continental breakfast at 06h30 and depart from the lodge around 07h00. After a leisurely drive with their ranger they will stop for tea in the marsh. Make your way back to the lodge to have lunch in the thatched viewing deck at the lodge’s private waterhole. Here while relaxing you will view the movement of various animals (elephant, giraffe, impala, kudu, buffalo) and birds at the water hole until you would like to be taken back to the lodge.

Early morning/ or afternoon departure from Ghoha Hills to just outside the Ghoha gate where your helicopter adventure awaits you.
Our scenic/ photography flights are a not to miss opportunity. We take the doors off for an even better photographic experience while flying.
Moments after departing you will enjoy the breath-taking views seen only from a helicopter - flying in the direction of the Linyanti Swamps.
This is a 30 minute flight where you will then land and enjoy delights from a special picnic basket packed for you – 30 minutes later you will then return back to the Ghoha gate – total excursion time 90 minutes.
