Harvest
Mangosteen, mango, giant passion fruit, grapefruit, guava, edamame, soursop, sugar-apple, pomegranate.. These are just a few of the hundreds of tropical trees and plants we have growing at Bhuwana. Harvesting is one of the favorite activities in Bhuwana Ubud Hotel. We are so grateful of mother nature’s abundance and are so happy to share all of it with you.

Rice Field Trekking

Our pilot project regarding farming concern to sustainability of land, water and waste management in term to provide organic food by using technology in our farming method. We invite for the guest for sharing the knowledge of farming method (hydroponic and aquaponic) in great vision providing organic food with sustainable concept.
Hydroponic
Hydroponics is a subset of hydro-culture, which is the growing of plants in a soil less medium, or an aquatic based environment. Hydroponic growing uses mineral nutrient solutions to feed the plants in water, without soil.
For those of us who love growing plants these are exciting times indeed. We are no longer limited by climate or by season in the pursuit of our harmless pleasures. We can now grow virtually any plant at virtually any time of the year – the only limitation is our imagination. The simple, effective hydroponic systems now available, coupled with modern horticultural lighting, have transformed our hobby and freed us to grow our favorite plants where and when we choose.
Aquaponic
The most simple definition of Aquaponics is the combination of aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (the soil-less growing of plants) that grows fish and plants together in one integrated system. The fish waste provides an organic food source for the plants, and the plants naturally filter the water for the fish.
The third participants are microbes (nitrifying bacteria). These bacteria convert ammonia from the fish waste first into nitrites, and then into nitrates. Nitrates are the form of nitrogen that plants can uptake and use to grow. Solid fish waste is turned into vermicompost that also acts as food for the plants. In combining both hydroponic and aquaculture systems, aquaponics capitalizes on their benefits, and eliminates the drawbacks of each.

We are MSG free, Halal, and use fresh ingredients from our farm and from the local community. Our menu and buffets are composed of a variety of dishes; all are vibrant, delicious and burst with color and flavor. Dinner mirrors the casual elegance found throughout the hotel. Seating for 100 people both inside and out ensures that all our guests will be able to indulge elegant dishes at their leisure.
