Located in the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, Tanda Tula Safari Camp offers an intimate and luxurious safari experience. With just nine hybrid canvas-and-glass suites, including two family suites, guests enjoy exclusivity and a deep connection to the wilderness. Each suite features sliding glass doors, canvas walls, and a private deck with a plunge pool, seamlessly blending contemporary elegance with nature.
Our camp’s design celebrates South Africa’s Tsonga heritage, creating an authentic yet sophisticated retreat. A grid-tied solar system reduces reliance on Eskom power, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
Tanda Tula safaris are immersive and unhurried, guided by one of the most experienced teams in the Greater Kruger. With 55,626 hectares of exclusive traversing, guests experience wildlife encounters in a vast and untamed landscape.
Dining is a celebration of heritage and creativity, with dishes inspired by childhood recipes and reimagined with an elegant twist. Bush walks, birding, and stargazing complement the safari experience, offering deeper connections to nature.

7 Safari suites, each one positioned overlooking the stunning Nhlaralumi riverbed with sweeping views of the bush. The entire front of the suite is a combination of sliding glass doors and canvas sliding walls, allowing the light to flood in. Outdoor covered decks and private plunge pools, ideal for dining and relaxing, with sunken bench seating – bringing you closer to nature.
These ecologically sensitive suites are fully ‘off grid’, powered by solar with water wise systems.
7 x Safari Suites which consist of one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, lounge area and private plunge pool. Ideal for couples and single guests.
