The Sani Pass, once a bridal path which allowed Basotho folk to transport their wool and goods to and from the Eastern Highlands of Lesotho & Kwazulu-Natal. Today it offers visitors the opportunity to experience the adventure of this rugged mountain pass, in 4X4 vehicles - climbing to a height of 2874 metres above sea level.

The Tour meets at 09h00, departing at 09h30 taking approx. 2.5 hours to reach the summit. We stop at breath taking view sites on the way , as well as stopping at the South African and Lesotho Border Control. Once at the Top of the Sani Pass, we enjoy lunch at the highest Pub in Africa or a local venue.
Thereafter we continue onto a living Basotho village or the Sani Top church, where the locals will offer incite about Lesotho and the local folk. Try sweet bread made daily - absolutely delicious and then we wind down the Sani Pass and arrive back in Underberg around 15h30 depending on the wildlife spotted along the way.
Focusing on groups and FITs we give individual attention to the many different highlights of the tour: The history of the Pass, birding, flora and fauna, animals & reptiles.
