Victoria Falls airport (VFA) is located 21 km south of the Victoria Falls town in the middle of a Forest Area. The old runway was 2286 metres long and 30 metres wide. It was established in 1966 as a regional airport and occupies an area of approximately 500 hectares. The airport operates 12 hours per day and immigration and revenue services are all available during the operating hours. It offers airport facilities and services, including aircraft parking, cargo and passenger handling, refueling, weather information, restaurants and duty-free shops. The airport has shuttle services to and from hotels and other places in town. There is a variety of tour operators, car rentals, offering from small economy to top of the range rental vehicles, as well as reliable taxis at the airport.
The expansion of the airport, funded by China Exim bank is underway from February 2013. The improvements will include a 4 km runway, international terminal building, up gradation of the domestic terminal building, new water plants, installation of state-of-the-art aviation equipment and extension of the aircraft parking area to allow parking of a five wide body aircraft at any given time.

Air Zimbabwe: Depart Harare daily at 1200 and arrive at 1300. Depart 1530, touchdown in Bulawayo at 1645, back in Harare at 1830.
Air Zimbabwe: Depart Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport on Tue, Thu, Sat at 0930 and arrive at 1115. Depart at 1230 and arrive
Johannesburg at 1415.
British Airways: Depart Johannesburg daily at 1125 and arrive at 1310, arrive back at Johannesburg at 1530.
South African Airways: Depart Johannesburg daily (except Sunday) at 1055 and arrive at 1240. Depart at 1330 and arrive at 1510.
