The Holy Trinity Cathedral situated in Addis Ababa is dedicated to the memory of the patriots who took part during the war of liberation, and it remains the burial grounds of patriots. The cathedral boasts glass-stained pictures that mirror the history of both the old and the New Testament as well as two tombs, one of which was built for Emperor Haile Selassie. The two thrones that were used by the king and the queen when attending mass are also a major tourist attraction. The cathedral is one of the most important historical sites in the city and is also used as a venue for meetings, national memorial ceremonies and prayers, as well as enthronement ceremonies for Bishops and Arch Bishops.
