San Pedro Claver Church and Monastery in Cartagena was constructed in the early 1600s by the Jesuit community. It is named after Pedro Claver, a missionary known for his dedication to enslaved people. He lived and died in the adjoining convent, and his remains are kept in an urn at the high altar. The site reflects colonial architecture and religious heritage, offering insight into the historical role of faith and social justice in the region.
