Located on the Mantenga Nature Reserve is The Mantenga Cultural Village. This cultural village is a living museum of what the Swazi culture was like during the 1850s and positively highlights the old traditions as well as language, rituals, dance, music, art, and folklore.
Welcomed by a local guide in traditional clothing, visitors are guided through the village seeing huts, kraals and animal sheds crafted from traditional building materials. The traditional dance troupe performs twice-daily, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Visitors are encouraged to interact and take part at griding maize, plaiting mountain grass, and joining in a Swazi song or dance.
