Numbi Gate is the closest of Kruger’s entrances to Nelspruit and White River. Day visitors can either enter at Numbi Gate and go back the same way, or exit via Kruger Gate near Skukuza or Phabeni Gate a little higher up. The gate is at a higher altitude, treating visitors to a sweeping vista over the lowveld to the east and the granite foothills to the north and south. As the area here enjoys some of the highest rainfall in the park, there is a high diversity of plant and animal species. The terrain is favourable to selective browsers, such as kudu, sable antelope and white rhino.
