Located in Madrid, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza is an art museum that houses the private art collection of Baron Thyssen-Bornemisza de Kászon. The art was sourced from the collections of embattled American millionaires who were struggling with the Great Depression and inheritance taxes. Additions to the collection were made by Heinrich's son Baron Hans Heinrich Thyssen-Bornemisza. The collection features early European paintings by leading Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Impressionist and Post-Impressionist artists as well as North American paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries.
