The Piedra Del Peñol in the town of Guatape in Antioquia, Colombia is a stand-alone rock. Nature enthusiasts can climb to the top of the 200-metre hill by way of the unique stairway on the northern side. Visitors can view the shrine to the Virgin Mary which is halfway up the rock. The summit of the rock features an observation deck where visitors can enjoy panoramic views, a convenience store and a seating area. Facilities at the base of the rock feature various food vendors and shopping stalls.
