Situated within the Olerai Conservancy's vast 5000 acres, Lerai Safari Camp holds the distinct honour of being the only camp within this protected part of the greater Masai Mara ecosystem in Southern Kenya. Sharing a common ecosystem border with the Naboisho Conservancy, Lerai basks in the wonder of wildlife freely moving between the two conservancies, creating breathtaking scenes of African wilderness.
The camp offers seven safari suites, that brilliantly embody the classic beauty of traditional East African safari style. These suites, elegantly furnished with a focus on comfort and authenticity, provide guests with the quintessential safari experience enveloped in an aura of pure serenity and intimacy with nature.
Our 'dining in the bush' experience allows guests to enjoy breakfast or lunch in the scenic wilderness, a truly unforgettable feature of a stay at Lerai Safari Camp.
At Lerai Safari Camp, we ensure every moment is crafted to weave an unforgettable safari experience for our guests.
Lerai Safari Camp is the only permanent safari accommodation in the 5,000 acre Olerai Conservancy of the greater Masai Mara ecosystem of southern Kenya. Barely 15 miles north of Tanzania’s Serengeti National park and just west of Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve, it’s an area teaming with African wildlife with migratory pathways for wildebeest, zebra, elephant and antelopes. Lerai Safari Camp was built slowly throughout 2018 to allow the wildlife breathing space to co-exist with us. Enveloped within a cluster of acacia trees (Lerai means yellow and Olerai describes the acacia tree), there is a nearby riverine forest stream drawing elephants towards camp.
