The Erawan Falls is one of the major attractions within the popular Erawan National Park in the west of Thailand. It is said that the top tier of the falls resembles the three-headed white elephant in Hindu culture for which the falls are named. There is a limited number of wildlife trails around the falls and visitors might spot macaques and the occasional water monitor lizard. The more exotic animals such as the Indian muntjac, wild elephants, wild boars, and sambar deer can be found deeper into the forest. The park can be visited every day of the year between 8 am and 4:30 pm.
