Guests at Alphonse Island have the opportunity to explore the inside reef flats of the island with the island's very knowledgeable and insightful marine biologist. Whilst the views of the unspoiled white sand and crystal clear waters might be distracting, try and keep your eyes peeled for juvenile turtles, eagle rays, eels and various other types of nature throughout this expedition. Guests who want to get more involved will also have the opportunity to partake in an optional volunteer biodiversity survey and gather baseline data about all the species found deep in the sea grass meadows, under rocks and squeezed into crevices in the reef platform.
