La Flor De Boruca aims to preserve the Borucan culture through exposing the history, crafts, and traditions of the tribe's past through ethnic tourism, growth of the on-site museum and local efforts to revive the culture. Since the birth of the organization, La Flor has been part of creating a cultural museum, reviving the Brunka language within the school system, and reteaching the crafts and traditions that have waned since the infiltration of western culture.
