The Royal Mile, located in Budongo not far from the southern entrance to Murchison Falls National Park, opens the door to some of the most pristine forest habitats this century has to offer. Home to towering mahoganies, ironwoods, and figs, this lush area supports a multitude of different ecological niches and promises the very best of forest birding. Notable sightings include the Crowned Eagle, Magpie Mannikin, Red-chested Cuckoo, Chocolate-backed Kingfisher and the White-thighed Hornbill.
