The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is home to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government headquarters from where the 23 wards, cities, towns and villages that constitute the whole Tokyo Metropolis is governed.

Located on the 45th floor of the Main Building are two 202 m-high observation decks from where one can see all of Tokyo. There is a café that sells light snacks on the South Observation Deck and in the evening visitors can enjoy drinks at the bar and café located on the North Observation Deck.
