Nomura Samurai House is open to the public and holds the remains of the highly ranked Nomura samurai family.

The family successively held executive posts from generation to generation under rule of the Maeda family.

The house features coffered ceilings, made completely of Japanese cypress, and sliding door paintings created by the personal painter of the Maeda family.

The beautiful and serene garden situated inside the residence has a Japanese bayberry that is over 400 years old and a tranquil stream that is surrounded by ancient rocks.
