Shibuya Crossing is a popular scramble crossing in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It is located in front of the Shibuya Station Hachikō exit and stops vehicles in all directions to allow pedestrians to cross the intersection.
The statue of Hachikō, a loyal dog who continued to wait in the area for over nine years following his owner's death, is a common meeting place between the station and the intersection, and almost always crowded.
Three large TV screens as well as many advertising signs are mounted on nearby buildings overlooking the crossing, which have led to it being compared to Times Square in New York.
