Set between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa in Limpopo Province, Maseke Balule is an 8000-hectare private game reserve sharing open borders with the Kruger National Park. The landscapes here are characterised by mountainous ridges, mica caves, lush grasslands, and the beautiful Oliphants River. The park is home to all of the ‘Big Five’, as well as a range of other species such as African wild dog, Nile crocodile, honey badger, and a huge diversity of game and birdlife. Maseke offers numerous ways to explore its grounds, including daily game drives, sundowner sessions, and visits to secret viewing spots, and the animals are generally habituated to the vehicle, often allowing visitors to get within five metres.
