Your local guide will meet you at your hotel and together you will walk down to Victoria Falls for a guided walking tour. You will learn the fascinating story of the great missionary-explorer David Livingstone who on the 17th November of 1855 was taken by dugout canoe down the Zambezi River to see “Mosi-oa-tunya“ – “the smoke that thunders“ – and the terrifying abode of the great river god, Nyaminyami. The walk will take about 1-2 hours and you will stop at various viewpoints along the Falls. There is also the opportunity to visit the craft market with its many wood-carvings and African Artifacts.
