The Changangkha Lhakhang monastery is placed near the Thimphu Clock Tower in Thimphu, Bhutan. It was built in the 12th century and is divided into three parts. The first part is dedicated to those who devoted their life to learn the sacred Buddhist teachings. The other two parts consist of an inner sanctum with the remains of Guru Rinpoche and a meditation hall for monks. The monastery is famous for offering panoramic vistas of Thimphu Valley. A statue of Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of compassion, is also featured at the monastery in his 11 headed, thousand armed manifestation form.
