The Chocolate Museum (ChocoMuseo), one of the city's most unique attractions, is two blocks from the Plaza de Armas in Cusco’s San Blas district. Chocolate lovers will be in their element at the quirky ChocoMuseo. Inside, visitors will be taken on a journey through the history of cocoa production from Mayan times to today, learning about the cacao tree and its cultivation, the cacao harvest and chocolate production, and the health benefits of cacao. Guests can sign up for a tour of a local cacao plantation, where the growing and harvesting practices can be witnessed and you might even get to take part in the harvest. The museum also offers two-hour chocolate making workshops where you can learn the process from start to finish.
