Runkuraqay is an Inca archaeological site set on a mountain in Peru’s Cusco Region. It lies along the route leading towards Machu Picchu, positioned on the southern slope near a mountain pass and other nearby ruins. The site’s name derives from Quechua, referring to a structure such as a shed or ruin. Early visits by explorers in the twentieth century documented its presence.
