Dochula Pass is a mountain pass in Bhutan’s Himalayas on the road linking Thimphu and Punakha. It lies on the country’s east–west route and was historically part of ancient trails between the two settlements. The site includes the Druk Wangyal Chortens, a group of 108 memorial stupas commissioned by Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck in memory of soldiers who died in 2003, as well as the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang monastery, used for the annual festival.
