Popa Game Park, located on the east bank of the Okavango River in Namibia’s Kavango East Region, is the country’s smallest game park. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching, angling, walking trails, and relaxing at the rest camp with bungalows and communal facilities. Notably, the park conserves lush riverine forest. It is home to over 400 bird species, crocodiles, hippos, and unique fish. At the same time, the quartzite ledge creates the four‑metre‑high Popa Falls rapids before the river flows onward to Botswana and the Okavango Delta.
