A 40-minute drive through the countryside of Zimbabwe on off-road terrain will offer visitors picturesque scenery on the way to the top of the Gorge. After the safety and procedural briefing guests will take the vertical descent to Rapid 23 and enjoy the hour long walk along the river to rapid 25. Swimming and relaxing in the eddy before the arduous climb out. The hiking continues into an authentic beautiful Ndebele homestead where visitors will get a chance to interact with the local headman and his family while having brunch under the thatched shade of their decorated mud huts. The graceful hosts are keen to show off their home, share their cultural way of life in relation to family, education, livestock, diet and anything guests may find interesting. This is a non-seasonal activity, and can be enjoyed throughout the year.
