The Lanzerac Tasting Room:

Enjoy a wine tasting in the comfort of the well-appointed Tasting Room, or on the veranda overlooking the vineyards with breath-taking views of the valley. The Tasting Room is open seven days a week, and offers visitors a selection of informative tastings. As a Hotel guest, we invite you to enjoy a complimentary wine tasting and guided tour of the working wine cellar. No pre-booking is required as Hotel guests. The tasting room closes at 17h30 for tastings and at 18h00 for wine sales in Summer, and 16h30 for tastings and at 17h00 for wine sales in Winter.

The Lanzerac Spa:

The Lanzerac Spa is conveniently located within walking distance of the Hotel and offers seven therapy rooms (including one couple’s room and one disabled room), four mini manicure and pedicure treatment stations, two relaxation areas, two Rasul chambers complete with sensation showers, an in-door heated swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms, and mist rooms. There is also a fitness room for Hotel guests to utilize. The spa closes at 18h00 for treatments and at 21h00 for the facilities.

• We have replaced all plastic water bottles with glass, and we ensure that they are returned to the supplier, sterilised and refilled.
• Our straws are certified 100% biodegradable, compostable and recyclable. When it breaks down they give off CO2 by merely expelling carbon locked in by the plant matter when originally grown.
• Our paper napkins are biodegradable, which reduces greenhouse gases, returns nutrients back to the earth and improves soil quality.
• Invest in reusable cups for your daily coffee fix. If you bring a clean, reusable cup or purchase one from the Deli, you will save Rxx. Our coffee cups and sleeves are biodegradable and compostable.
• We pride ourselves on providing food which tastes the best, is perfectly natural, and is sourced from local suppliers who share our values.
• Lanzerac initiates strong relationships with local farmers and fishermen who practice methods of protecting and promoting biodiversity.
• Our fish are Sassi registered, to ensure responsible fishing and to protect the biodiversity of the oceans.
• We contribute to renewing natural resources by reducing food waste and using seasonal products locally sourced.
• We integrate organic produce, hormone-free meats and dairy, and other natural products that offer Guests healthier food selections.
• Within guest rooms and laundry, we continue to implement efficiencies that reduce water and, in many cases, chemicals that are used to treat water systems and clean facilities.
• We make use of Theravine, an all-natural, custom-formulated product made without preservatives and artificial ingredients that is packaged in recyclable containers.
• Recognizing the importance of safer products for our Guests and Team members, as well as the environment, we have shifted to cleaning products that are made with bio-based oils and other natural cleaners. These more natural products have proven performance, are gentler on the skin and less destructive to the environment.
• Our Team ensures that we reduce energy by turning off all electrical functionalities within each room and our recycling program is executed after each guests stay.
• No animal testing was conducted on the production of our spa products.
• Only biodegradable ingredients are used during spa treatments.
• Packaging is recyclable, and we don’t use cellophane to cover boxes.
• There are no inserted product leaflets to cut down on waste.
• We are carbon-conscious, as our paper-based materials are obtained from sustainable sources.
• Use of greywater and borehole on the property.
• We use waterwise plants in our restaurants
• We produce our own gas for burning.
• Installation of solar power for the Spa, Wine Cellar and Laundry.
• Building healthy soil and working with nature is our key focus for the preservation of our vineyards.
• We employ members from previously disadvantaged backgrounds and empower women by employing females, who make up 70% of our workforce within the vineyards.
• We have a variety of different plants, insects and animal species in the area. We provide the right conditions to make it possible to encourage a range of arthropod species that are beneficial in the vineyards.
