The Condor Park near Otavalo is a non-profit organization dedicated to the protection, rescue, rehabilitation and possible re-introduction to nature of birds of prey, vultures (Andean condor) and owls. Their mission is to raise awareness about the importance of environmental problems and their relationship with society, taking the Andean condor, owls, birds of prey and their habitat as their basis of action, as they are important indicators and relevant symbols of Andean culture.

The Condor Park uses falconry techniques that promote closeness between these birds and visitors. The purpose is not to domesticate them to provide entertainment only to the spectators, but when interacting with the birds, observing their flight accompanied with the explanations of the falconer, our visitors gain respect and lose the wrong impression they have about the birds of prey. A magnificent experience!
