At the Puerto Ayora dock, you can take a quick water taxi ride to “El otro lado” (the other side/$2) where the path to Las Grietas starts. It is a 1.5km hike to Las Grietas. Here you arrives to a small body of water nestled between two volcanic rock structures where you can swim and snorkel. The water is crystal clear, chilly and about 30 ft deep. A fun place to swim and snorkel!

A visit to Las Grietas makes for a fun morning or afternoon visit for 3 to 4 hours.
