Situated inland about an hour's drive from AfroChic is the pristine wilderness of Shimba Hills National Reserve. Meadows and lush forest are home to elephants, elusive leopards and the sable, a beautiful and very rare antelope. Visitors can game drive or trek through the unexploited and untouched wilds.

AfroChic Diani supports the Colobus Research Centre, protecting the region’s Colobus monkeys, and Diani Turtle Watch. AfroChic protects a turtle eggs hatching area in front of the hotel and some guests may have the incredible opportunity to watch a turtle hatching.
