Pointe des Almadies is the westernmost point on the continent of Africa, located on the north-western end of the Cap Vert peninsula, within the greater Dakar urban area from the village of N'gor and the town of Yoff in Senegal. The Almadies peninsula rose to prominence after being featured in the 1964 surfing film The Endless Summer, where Bruce Brown shot the movie at a nearby reef in Pointe des Almadies.
