Hotel Bahnhof byl původně postaven v roce 1906. Po rozsáhlé renovaci v roce 2005 se tento klenot Spergebiet neotřesitelně rozrostl jak do velikosti, tak do hodnocení. Celková atmosféra a osobní přístup ve sféře tohoto zařízení jej odlišují od mnoha jiných hráčů v tomto oboru.
Městečko Aus má překvapivě bohatou historii sahající až do německých koloniálních dob. Tato půvabná vesnice byla kdysi centrem mnoha provozovatelů volských povozů a obchodníků. Pozůstatky zajateckého tábora (válečných zajatců) jsou k vidění dodnes a existuje mnoho příběhů o strádání, statečnosti, diamantových horečkách a příchodu železnice. Hotel má 26 elegantních a přitom úsporně zařízených pokojů s vlastním sociálním zařízením. V hotelu se po celý den podává široká nabídka vynikajících jídel, zákusků a nápojů. Prostřednictvím celodenních výletů na historická místa a do parku Huib vám bude odhalena jedna z nejúchvatnějších krajin na naší planetě.

This room is slightly larger for mobility around the bed and access to the customized bathroom and roll-in shower with all the necessary fittings for a disabled person. The room is accessed from a large door on the outside with a ramp.

“Orange House” & “Aloe Rock House”
Both units are situated in the small town of Aus and form part of the accommodation complement of the hotel.
*Orange House has two individual en-suite twin bed rooms with shower & toilet, mosquito nets, fans and built-in cupboards.
*Aloe Rock House has three comfortable twin rooms with two separate bath rooms, each with shower & toilet. The rooms are also equipped with mosquito nets, fan and built-in cupboards.
Both units have lounges with DSTV Mini-bouquet, dining room and fully equipped kitchens with all the necessary appliances and utensils for self-catering.
Outside “braai facilities” with a bird`s eye view of the surroundings and within walking distance of the Hotel. The self-catering option is ideal for friends and family traveling together.

Day Trip to Tsau//Khaeb Park & Roter Kamm Crater
The journey departs at 08:00 from Bahnhof Hotel Aus, travelling south on the C13 before turning west across private farmland toward the Tsau//Khaeb Park border. The route leads through stark riverbeds, barren plains, and shifting desert scenery that has remained largely untouched for nearly a century. Inside the park, predefined tracks reveal clay pans, vegetated dunes, gravel plains, and wide horizons where wildlife appears unexpectedly against the vast Namib backdrop.
A light outdoor snack is enjoyed around midday, depending on the landscape and timing.
The highlight follows after roughly 60 km: the Aurus Mountains. Here, a 90‑minute guided hike explores endemic and rare plant species before reaching a viewpoint marked by an upright stone with an Africa‑shaped peephole framing the distant Roter Kamm Crater.
A further 90‑minute drive brings you to the crater itself, where guests can walk up to the rim for sweeping views of this dramatic geological feature. The return journey heads east toward Witpütz and then along the C13 back to Aus, offering time to reflect on the day’s rare and privileged experiences.
Arrival at Bahnhof Hotel is expected around 16:00, with possible brief stops en route.
A little bit of the past, a little bit of the present by being introduced to the history-laden points of interest, and a lot of “take home” impressions, photos and reminiscence of the moment when the day comes to an impressive and enchanting end.
