Custom build 85sqm Canvas Tents envelope guests in pure privacy, complete with an outside viewing deck, an indoor and outdoor shower, spacious bathroom and a Mini Bar provided by the Elegant Desert Lodge in the form of a cool box. Our Rock Pool on top of the mountain with a large sun downer deck offers the most exquisite views and scenery.
You have the option of moving your bed out to sleep under the stars. And wake up naturally to the most beautiful scenery! Eyry silence, tranquility, a sense of soulfulness and untouched landscapes make this Eco Camp especially unique! The camp is totally off the grid with its own water and power supplies.

At Elegant Desert Lodge, the sundowner experience is one of the highlights of the day and focuses on the beauty of the Namib Desert at sunset.
Guests enjoy a scenic late-afternoon drive across the surrounding plains and mountain landscapes, ending at a carefully selected viewpoint overlooking the vast desert. Here, drinks and light snacks are served while the sun sets over the Tsaris and Naukluft mountain ranges, painting the sky in deep orange and red tones.
The experience is relaxed and unhurried, giving guests time to take in the silence, wide horizons, and changing light as wildlife such as oryx or springbok may be seen moving through the plains.
It is a classic Namibian moment, drinks, scenery, and sunset in the heart of the desert.
The nature walks and hiking trails at Elegant Desert Lodge are self-guided or guided explorations across the surrounding desert and mountain landscape, designed to connect guests with the raw Namib environment.
Guests can walk directly from the lodge into open gravel plains and low mountain terrain, where trails are not formally marked but follow natural desert routes used for centuries. These walks offer the chance to experience the silence, vast horizons, and unique desert scenery up close, often with sightings of oryx, springbok, kudu, and mountain zebra along the way.
The terrain includes gentle hiking routes through plains and rocky foothills of the Naukluft and Tsaris mountain ranges, making it suitable for both relaxed walks and more active hikes depending on guest preference.
These experiences are all about freedom and immersion, allowing guests to explore at their own pace and fully experience the stillness and scale of the Namib Desert.
A guided early-morning excursion from Elegant Desert Lodge into the Namib-Naukluft National Park, visiting highlights such as Dune 45 and Deadvlei. Guests experience the iconic Sossusvlei dunes, scenic desert landscapes, and expert guiding before returning to the lodge after a memorable half-day adventure.
