Umlani Bushcamp – An Authentic Safari Adventure in the Heart of the Timbavati
Umlani Bushcamp is a rustic, off-the-grid safari lodge located in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Offering a truly immersive wilderness experience, the camp features 8 traditional Eco Huts crafted from brick and mortar with thermal insulation properties, keeping them warmer in winter and cooler in summer. With open-air en-suite bathrooms, each hut provides simple, comfortable accommodation that connects you to the surrounding bush. Umlani accommodates a maximum of 16 guests, ensuring an intimate and personalized safari.
There are no fences separating the camp from the surrounding wilderness, allowing wildlife to roam freely through the area. Guests enjoy twice-daily game drives and optional guided bush walks, with excellent opportunities to see the Big Five and a wide variety of other species. For the adventurous, a treehouse sleep-out offers a magical night under the stars.
Umlani operates entirely on solar power and is a proud advocate of sustainable, low-impact tourism. Evenings are spent sharing stories around the fire or enjoying communal dinners under the African sky. Whether you're a first-time visitor or seasoned safari-goer, Umlani promises a soulful, unforgettable journey into the wild.
