Located in the Fiordland National Park, of New Zealand, Doubtful Sound spans over 40 km and has a depth of over 421 metres. It is considered to be the second longest fjord in New Zealand after Milford Sound and receives on average 3,000–6,000 millimetres of rainfall annually. This is evident in the dense rainforest vegetation surrounding the fjord mountain landscape.
