Cascadas de Agua Azul, located on the Xanil River in Chiapas, Mexico, is a breathtaking series of waterfalls known for their striking turquoise colour. At this attraction, visitors can admire cascading waters surrounded by lush jungle and enjoy the refreshing natural pools. Activities include swimming in designated areas, hiking along trails to view multiple cataracts, photography, and relaxing at picnic spots near the falls. Notably, the waterfalls reach heights of up to six meters, and the mineral-rich waters create limestone coatings on rocks and trees. Designated a flora and fauna protection area in 2000.
